Love & Lust NYC Photo Exhibition

In May of 2019 I hosted my second solo photo exhibition. I held New York Edition of Love & Lust in Brooklyn @ 7 House Gallery. It was ana amazing experience, although it was very stressful to do a show in a place where i knew very few people. My first set of zines got stolen on delivery in Harlem, so if you’re in NYC and some one tries to sell you one of my zines beat they ass for me. Similar to the first show I used eventbrite to share the event and marketed using social media. Over the two days over 100 guests visited the show including artists from Europe and Africa. Friends from Dallas and LA also popped up as well as people i have met on my trips to NY. I tried a new way of mounting the show which was a little more difficult than expected. All prints and mounting was done by myself with some help from Nayamka, who also produced the show with me. This show was a great first event in New York and i look forward to growing my network and showing again there soon.

Fall Editorial Shoot- Naked Wardrobe

Last week was my shoot with Naked Wardrobe for their fall editorial.Naked Wardrobe is a contemporary women's boutique, their "simply sultry" style has grown a wide following including Kim & Khloe Kardashian. This fall they've added some great chic pieces to their collection. Perfect for layering: warm but still light enough for LA's fall season.Naked Wardrobe worn by Khloe Kardashian     

Draya Michelle Fall Editorial

Recently I worked with Draya Michelle, designer of Mint Swim to create some new public relations images. We shot a few headshots for her acting, which is taking off. We also shot some images that were requested specifically for People Magazines style section.My Cousin Chase Deville was in town so I had him come to the shoot to assist me. Most of the images were shot with wonderful natural light that was available in her and Orlando Scandrick's house in the hills, all other lighting was crafted with Profoto lighting. I had a great time working with the team to create some great fall looks and a few timeless looks for Mint Swim.

Tasting Leona...

Before the Grand Opening of Venice's Hot new Restaurant Leona my friend Miriha took me to one of their three tasting events. We got to taste a variety of delicious items from their Brunch menu.   We also go to sample some stunning sweets.   I definitely suggest visiting next time you are taking a beach day in Southern California.

Goldilocks

In January, I shot a special project with a close friend, Kay. We set out to create images that reflected the journey of a young woman finding herself in the wild world that is Los Angeles. Our inspriation was the story Goldilocks and the three bears, and with Destini Rogers, Kelle, Mugs Opus, and Samara, we created a classic look. Due to some unexpected circumstances it took longer than expected for me to finish this project, more photos to come, and i am also creating a limited edition book of some of my favorite images.

During a recent test shoot with stylist Kailani Raye, Draya and I took a few minutes to shoot a few new items for her swim wear line Mint Swim. The images went viral and  landed on Global Grind and a few other blogs thanks to blogxilla.com

Aelns photoshoot behind the scenes video

Aelns is a group of my favorite Canadians living in southern California. Consisting of designer Laina Rauma Singer and DJ Kay, Dancer Actor and Rapper Stephanie Moseley and rapper actress and model Kat Pasion . This group of down to earth hard working ladies is taking LA by storm and quickly making a name for them selves in there fields.Stepanie is a veteran of several national tours including dancing with Janet Jackson, Brittany Spears, and Jennifer Lopez. Now she is taking her turn in front of the camera as a member of the cast of VH1's hit show Hit the Floor. She is also a member of upcoming hip hop duet KNS with fellow Aeln, Kat Pasion.Kat is in high demand as a print, video, and commercial model. From being requested to perform with TI for the BET awards, and to be the leading Lady for Tyga in his recent video with Justin Beiber,  to national ads for Adidas Originals, is getting everyones attention as she prepares to release the first single from KNS.Kay has been headlining international concerts and touring over the last few years. She is also a DJ in high demand around LA and Canada. Kay has also appeared in national advertisements for adidas as well as Joyrich. She is currently working on a follow up ep to her recent release MyNameIsKay.Laina Rauma is constantly creating unique hand made designer clothing. Laina releases new items monthly and has become a favorite of ladies in all over the U.S.  and celebs including Eva marcille. Her fanbase is constantly growing due to her creative designs and compelling visuals.I was happy to create the set of images for a project they were working on in early February.While I was capturing the photos, Jayson Vaughn of JVMFilms captured this video. [embed]http://player.vimeo.com/video/89331132[/embed]
