Testing the Mamiya 1000dtl
Recently, I purchased a box of film cameras and accessories to test and sale the best working equipment to people looking to get started in film photography or for people looking for new cameras to expand their practice and get a new feel. One of the cameras I was most excited about was the Mamiya 1000dtl, a 35 mm camera with manual exposure control and dual through the lens metering ( that’s what del means). Unfortunately it was moldy and smelled of mildew. I spent some time deep cleaning the lens which had mold growing on it and cleaning the body. then took it out for a spin. I shot the shots around Burbank, California. The meter never started working so I think I am going to just keep it but there’s more cameras available in the shop
